Now I know from experience that it can be scary to have a First Responder come and help with an ASD child. Many First Responders are equipped to handle our special needs children. One tip I received was to contact 911 before an emergency strikes. Then, the dispatcher can make a notation in their file of the disability, age, and other pertinent information.
